De La Salle Philippines has been coordinating with the Lasallian Family and external agencies to bring relief to people severely affected by calamities ever since its inception. In August 2021, disaster relief and rehabilitation as part of the Lasallian Mission was embedded into Tulong Lasalyano.
Our disaster response program involves collection and organization of relief goods and monetary donations, as well as coordination with transport services, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations for distribution.
We helped the Office of the Vice President provide aid to Typhoon Maring-hit families in Cagayan Valley, Pangasinan, and Ilocos Sur back in October 2021. We also coordinated disaster assistance efforts to victims of the Antipolo fire that same month. Tulong Lasalyano also provided 150.45 metric tons of relief goods to Typhoon Odette-hit families in Cebu, Southern Leyte, Palawan, Surigao del Norte, Negros Oriental, and Negros Occidental.
We helped coordinate the disaster assistance efforts for Typhoon Maring and the Antipolo fire in October 2021, and Typhoon Odette in December 2021.
